The Rural Tour

Running May, July, September – the tours are based on flights arriving on the second Thursday of each month.

Day One – Airport transfers from Cork Airport.

Walking tour of the city – This takes in some of the most significant aspects of Cork from the Shandon Bells and St. Finbarr’s Cathedral to the famous English Market that has a wealth of artisan stalls and local produce that is too good to miss.

One night in Cork

Day TwoClonakilty – just afforded the accolade of the first place in Ireland to be accepted into the Cittaslow Movement, this rural waterfront town is renowned for its music, history and pace of life.

Via Kinsale – the harbour town is full of life, bursting with boutique shops, cafes and markets. With walks out to the two forts that protect the town and views across the harbour that are iconic for Ireland this town is the perfect stopping place for a gentle walk and a tasty lunch.

One night in Clonakilty

Day ThreeBaltimore – A quiet town, the perfect spot for some walking or sailing with views out to the islands, Baltimore is a traditional town with many hidden gems.

Via Union Hall – famous for its fishing and fresh produce, a tour of West Cork wouldn’t be complete without a stop in this village.

Two nights in Baltimore

Day FourSherkin Island – one of the largest islands from Baltimore, here you will find a self sufficient island community with peaceful walks and stunning views back to the mainland and across the bay.

Day FiveMizen Head – the southern-most point of Ireland and a protected national reserve, the Mizen has been preserved beautifully and is a panorama of views across the Atlantic and often the best place to spot seals and dolphins.

Overnight – Killarney

Day SixRing of Kerry – a tour of Kerry’s most rugged and unspoilt country starting and finishing in the traditional town of Killarney.
